United Arts kicks-off its annual fundraising campaign February 6-15 with
ArtsFest, a celebration of arts and culture in Central Florida. Presented
by Bank of America, ArtsFest offers All Arts, All Week, All FREE!
This year’s event includes 83 organizations in 75 venues throughout
Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. ArtsFest provides a
taste of everything the cultural community has to offer in your own backyard.

We will offer a variety of cultural experiences including art classes for children and Adults (pottery, and painting for children, and yoga, creative writing and watercolor for Adults) Performance Poetry, Plein Air painting demonstrations, Sketch club with live model and guided tours of the grounds, gardens and gallery with the featured exhibition The Art of Ganesh.

Annual ArtsFest/ MAC Members Art Show

 

Please Join the Maitland Art Center for the Annual ArtsFest Maitland Art Center Members show.

 

WHO:  This show is open to all Maitland Art Center Members. * Note : You can become a Maitland Art Center member at any time.  Including the day of artwork drop off. Membership starts at $25 and up.

 

WHEN: The show opens Saturday, February 7-17, 2008.

Gallery Hours Saturday Feb. 7 10-2pm, Sunday Feb. 8 4:30 - 6pm, M-F 12noon - 2pm, Thursday during Sketch Club, 7-9:30pm.

 

PRIZES: Three prizes will be awarded 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100, 3rd place $50

 

WHERE:   This show will be held in Room A of the Germaine Marvel Bldg. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Each member will be allowed to enter 1 piece of work, in any medium no larger than 15" in any direction (including frame).  There will be a $15 entry fee. MAC reserves the right to refuse any work not considered appropriate. ***If you would like to have this piece considered for future shows at other venues please provide a non-returnable 4x6 photo of the piece with name, phone number, size and medium on the back.

 

DROP OFF: Artwork may be dropped off in the Germaine Marvel Bldg. Monday, January 26, 2009, 5-7 pm or Tuesday, January 27, 2009,9:30-12:30 pm.

 

JUDGING: Judges will be Rachel Simmons, Associate Professor of Art, Rollins College, and Robert Reedy, Professor of Art (Ceramics) at UCF.
