Associate Board

With fresh tallies just in we are happy to report another banner year for the Center’s fun fundraiser. The threat of rain did not hinder those bidders ready to score a spot to work with an exciting list of Visual Artists. Now in its 11th year, pARTicipation is a super chance to build your art collection while gaining an appreciation for how an Artist works to create their magic.

This event could not be possible without the generosity of the 22 Visual Artist and the extra efforts of the Associate Board who hustled up over 75 auction items for the Silent Auction. Special thanks go to AB president Ami Colee, and Co-Chairs Jeff Shonkwiler and Joanne McNamara for the dedication to the success of this event. They truly went above the call of duty!

Developmental Forum

Wednesday, October 8, 7pm

Matting, Mounting and Framing Art – Join the Associates as they present another educational forum on the skills and materials needed to mat, mount and frame your works, a practical guide for professional results. Presentation is one aspect of the art battle and this forum is sure to enhance your resources and options. Discussion will address measuring and layout, types of molding, where to find materials, etc.

Our commitment as Associate Board members of the Maitland Art Center (MAC) is assumed from year to year, and we are entering an exciting time as we strengthen our Associate Board with new members. As we begin the process of forming committees to create profitable fund-raising events, which will require volunteer participation, we ask that you review the commitment to this Board.

Below are the current requirements for board members:

~ Maintain a current paid membership in good standing at the MAC (Individual –($35 Family $45)
~ Attend monthly meetings which occur the 2nd Wednesday of each month
~ Actively work on at least one project committee annually
~ Attend MAC exhibition openings and functions on a regular basis
